Pinhole Photographs created to feature in the book
Pinhole & Solargraph Photographs of the Medway Towns & Estuary
The following Pinhole Photographs, Solargraphs and Films were created mostly during over the spring and summer of 2011 whilst canoeing on the River Medway estuary. There will be more images added over the next month, this is a work in progress.
The square photos were made using the lensless wooden box and the rectangular photos with the converted 1950's Box Brownie. No film was used; all photos were made straight onto Ilford Multigrade and Harman Direct Positive glossy photographic paper and feature (along with the Solargraphs) in the Limited Edition book 'Pinhole & Solargraph Photographs of the Medway Towns & Estuary' which you can buy via the Paypal link at the bottom of the page.

Here is a short film made whilst making the Solargraphs
And here are four more films I've made about the River Medway
The next to last stage of the project sees the image negatives destroyed. The film footage was wiped as soon as the films were made. This is all to ensure that there's no collection of work hanging around afterwards to attract collectors, so in turn I'm never tempted to become what I dislike - an artist who creative direction is guided by what sells.
