Here are some pinhole photos I've taken of my home village, London and some other scenes from recent journeys, including to Rome and Paris. I'm not entirely sure at all why I am taking them, I mean, for what particular project. It's just that despite being a very cold winter, it has been a very dry one, and sunny at times, so good conditions for getting outside, and having been beset by illness I have needed something to lift my spirits, and to give me a sense of purpose. So for want of anything else, I have started once again to use my pinhole camera. I am not so sure of it's power to reveal any sort of truth, as I used to be, but it is what I do right now, and anyway, the truth doesn't hold the attraction for me that it once did. And besides this, hobbys cost money, and I have very little of that, yet there are boxes and boxes of photographic paper under the bed to use as film, thanks to me having been sponsored by Illford, and gallons of photographic chemical in the cupboard just waiting to be used...So, here you are. All taken with either a Box Brownie or a Wooden Box, with exposure ranging from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. Click Here, or on the image below, to go through to the gallery. I'll add to the gallery as the months go past.
